Week 8 Update

Assembly

This week our Pre Primary 2 class took over the assembly and told us all about the social and emotional program they are working on in class, Grow Your Mind. Although some students had a few nerves, they did a great job entertaining the audience with their signing, dancing and confident public speaking. Congratulations to our Honour Certificate winners who were recognised for their ongoing display of our school values, well done. See the full list of students below.

Aussie of The Month

Congratulations to our Aussie of the Month, Laila, who was nominated by Ms Hill for her Harmony in welcoming new students to  the class. To make her classmates feel welcome, Laila took it upon herself to start learning phrases in Arabic, well done Lailah. Ahsant! أحسنت

Swimming

Over the past fortnight we have conducted our first set of swimming lessons, with students enjoying the opportunity to get into the warm pool and practice their skills. Each day the students have been heading off to Terry Tyzak and thoroughly enjoying the sessions. Students that have passed their levels will receive certificates on Monday. We will be starting our second set of swimming lessons this Monday, with all IEC classes, Rooms 2,4,5,9,11,and 15 having their turn. Students in these classes are reminded to ensure they have their swimming gear organised and ready to bring to school on Monday.
