Dear Parents and Carers

I am writing to ley you know of a serious case of gastro and flu that is travelling around the school. Students have been complaining of headaches and upset stomachs as early signs. As the symptoms progress, students have been recording extremely high temperatures, with a number of students requiring hospitalisation. If children are presenting at school with symptoms we will notify parents immediately, however we do ask that if your child is presenting with any flu or gastro like symptoms that you do keep them at home monitor closely for any high temperatures. If your child's temperature is high (temperature should not be above 38 degrees) I would encourage you to seek medical assistance from the hospital or your local doctor as a priority.
