Week 10 Update

Dianella Diamonds

Our annual talent quest Dianella Diamonds was a massive success last Tuesday with 4 junior students, 6 intermediate students and 6 senior students making it into the grand final. The talent on display was very impressive, with all of our students performing with poise and confidence. This is an amazing and unique event for our school and takes a significant amount of work preparing the students and getting organised for the day. Without Mrs Davey’s diligence and passion, this opportunity wouldn’t be available and we need to acknowledge and thank her for all of her hard work organising the day, thank you! Mrs Davey did have a team of helpers and without their assistance, the day wouldn’t be as successful as it was, thank you to ‘The Diamonds Team’ for your support. I know it was a very hard decision for our judges to pick one winner from each group, however this is the role of the judge. Congratulations to our winners :

Winners: Junior: Samara Intermediate: Dalia Senior: Sarah Mrs Davey Award: Laila

Runners Up: Junior: Nidhi Intermediate: Andy Senior: Yasmen

Congratulations to all of our finalists, you can certainly be proud of your efforts.

Community Food Share Event

Did you receive your Community Food Share booklet yesterday? The school P&C have put an amazing amount of work and effort into preparing for our upcoming Community Food Share event. Next Thursday, 1 July we are asking parents to join us for a celebration of food. On the day we are asking families to provide a plate of food to share with the school community, students will have the opportunity to enter into our cooking competition to win some great prizes and we will also be holding a special Junior Master Chef challenge. All of the details are available in the booklet (extra copies available in the office). If you are able to help out on the day please contact the P&C Committee on pcdianella@gmail.com Looking forward to what is no doubt going to be a highlight of our school year.

Reporting to Parents

This afternoon you will be receiving a copy of your child’s Semester 1 report. The report is an indication of your child’s progress and achievement over the Semester. Please take the time to read through the report with your child/ren and discuss their progress. If you have any questions about the report or if your child’s teacher has requested an interview, please contact your teacher directly top organise a suitable time.

Connect

Have you logged onto your child’s Connect account yet? All of the classroom teachers have started using the Connect platform to communicate classroom activities and to share photos of activities. If you haven’t received your Connect notification email, please email the school directly dianella.pc@education.wa.edu.au to enable access.
