Week 4 Update

Activity Groups

This term students in Yr’s 3 -6 have been participating in activity groups. This is an opportunity for students to choose an activity that holds a personal interest for them. Along with the traditional sports, students have been given the opportunity to work with clay, design jewellery, lego challenges, perform a dance, try sewing, amazing science experiments, art and craft and coding. The sessions are a great opportunity for students to develop their passions and I encourage parents to talk to their child about their chosen activity. It may be something they would like to explore outside of school.

Open Night

Our annual school open night is fast approaching and I ask all parents to put this date in their diaries. Tuesday 30 March from 5-6pm classrooms will be open for parents and families to see what the students have been up to in class over the term Following this we will then have our junior dance performance from 6.00pm to 6.30pm in the school undercover area.

P&C Movie Night

As you may be aware the school P&C has organised a free family movie night on Friday 26 March. This is a ticketed event for DPC students and families only. There is a note coming home today detailing how you can get tickets, these will need to be returned to the school office by next Friday 5 March. Thank you to our Yr 6 students have been busily designing posters for the event that you will see displayed around the school and on our social media posts, great design work.

Long Weekend

A reminder that this weekend is a long weekend and students do not attend school on Monday. School will resume on Tuesday 2 March. Enjoy your final weekend of Summer.
