Walk Safely To School Day

On Friday 15 May Dianella Primary College will be participating in the National Walk Safely to School Day. The walk to school day, now in it’s 22nd year, encourages primary school aged children to walk to school with mums, dads, older siblings or carers. Some of the benefits of regularly walking to school include ; reduced traffic congestion and pollution, help students develop vital road crossing skills (with the help of an adult) and also gain extra exercise. On Friday, where possible, we are asking all students to walk or ride to school, students who walk to school will then receive faction tokens, putting their name into our reward system for the chance at one of our school prizes or adding to their tally to purchase a prize from the faction reward shop. Students walking to school on Friday make sure you see one of our faction captains or school leaders at the gate for your tokens.
