Who are we and why is the P&C so important?
We are a group of parents, guardians, and friends who have come together to:
- develop strong relationships between the school and the community
- promote communication between the school and parents/carers
- promote interest in educational matters and the well being of students
- help promote school values
- help provide resources for the school
How does the P&C work?
- Our P&C is a registered not-for-profit charity and our operations are guided by an overarching constitution.
- The P&C is made up of volunteers; they can come from within the school like parents and other family members, or from the wider community with an interest in the school, for example a community health officer.
- The committee is made up of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, members and the School Principal.
- All members of the P&C can attend the meetings and contribute to discussions, volunteer at events, suggest ideas, and help the P&C reach their goals. The more volunteers we have involved, the more we can do for our school!
- Only financial members will have the right to vote on proposed ideas at meetings. To become a financial member you need to pay a minimal fee of 50 cents only at the AGM or at any other official committee meeting.
